It's not uncommon for players to sling recommendations and referrals across the room, from restaurants to vacation destinations … and even dog trainers. That's how Wesley Dawe, owner of Good DaweG, ended up with a growing contingent of World Series champions in his clientele. For Astros stars Yordan Alvarez, Mauricio Dubón, Jose Altuve and Martín Maldonado, Dawe is the go-to when it comes to taking care of their dogs. The busy life of a professional baseball player means they spend half of the regular season away from their beloved pets so it takes a good deal of trust to leave their furry friends with someone else. If you ask them, Dawe has earned it in spades. THAT'S how you keep a game tied! With the score tied in the top of the ninth, the Angels kept the Rays off the board with their first triple play since 1997. Acuña on the cusp of creating an exclusive new club The 40-40 Club is one of baseball's most exclusive memberships. But forget joining those benchmarks for home runs and stolen bases -- Ronald Acuña Jr. is closing in on the first 30-home run, 60-stolen base season in AL/NL history.  Dominic Smith can't wait for Little League Classic The Nationals' first baseman considers his Little League years instrumental in his journey to the Major Leagues, and he is looking forward to sharing those experiences as the club's ambassador on Sunday in Williamsport. Masyn Winn gets first MLB hit, and the ball (eventually) After the Cardinals' top prospect beat out an infield hit in the fifth inning, Mets first baseman Pete Alonso tossed the ball into the stands, not realizing the significance. "It was a complete accident, and I thought it was quite funny," the rookie said. Handling the hot corner like this gets you into Top Plays Royce Lewis was drafted as a shortstop, so it's no surprise he looks like a natural at third base.
