I am once again asking for your financial support. - Bernie

... but not for me...

Sisters and Brothers,

You know as well as I how dangerous the current political moment is.

Together, we are taking on Trump‘s authoritarianism and his efforts to undermine our democracy. We are taking on an Oligarchy which has an extraordinary amount of wealth and power. We are taking on a corrupt campaign finance system in which billionaires, and their super-PACs, are able to buy elections.

And, at the same time as the very richest people are becoming much richer, we are seeing working families across the country struggling to put food on the table, pay for housing, healthcare and other basic necessities. Today, shamefully, we have the highest rates of childhood and senior poverty of almost any major country on earth and millions of older workers have virtually no savings as they face retirement.

As progressives, we understand something that the Democratic Establishment does not. And that is that while it is essential that we defeat Trumpism and all its ugly and destructive policies, we need to do more. We need to elect candidates who have the guts to stand up to the wealthiest people on earth and create a government and an economy that works for ALL, not just the 1%. No more tinkering around the edges. No more status quo politics. In the United States every man, woman and child can and must enjoy a decent standard of living. That’s what the American people want, and that’s what we have to deliver.

I am happy to tell you that in the November mid-term elections we are supporting a number of great candidates all across the country. This weekend our Fighting Oligarchy tour will be making stops in Ohio, Minnesota and Michigan where I'll be joined by special guests Brian Poindexter, Peggy Flanagan and Abdul El-Sayed. Brian is running for the House. Peggy and Abdul are running for the Senate.

Several weeks ago I asked you to split a contribution between four House candidates, including Brian. And you were very generous in your response. Today, I am requesting that you split a contribution between Abdul and Peggy's U.S. Senate campaigns -- elections that will be extremely expensive as they are taking on very powerful special interests.

Dr. Abdul El-Sayed is a strong progressive and a physician who understands that our current health care system is broken and wildly expensive. He knows that health care is a human right and will help me in the Senate in the fight for a Medicare for All single-payer program. Recent polls in Michigan have him tied for first place.

Peggy Flanagan in Minnesota is a Native American, the daughter of a hard-working single mom and an organizer who’s spent her career, from her time on the Minneapolis School Board to her time as Lieutenant Governor of Minnesota, fighting for progressive policies that help working people. This race is as close as it gets and if Peggy wins this primary, she'll win the general election to the U.S. Senate.

Both are in competitive primaries that are very close. So I am once again asking for your financial support:

Please split a contribution of $27 or whatever you can afford today between Abdul El-Sayed and Peggy Flanagan's campaigns for United States Senate. These are people you can trust to have the guts to take on the ruling class of this country. But they cannot do it alone.

If you've stored your info with ActBlue, we'll process your split contribution instantly:
