Differential Feed
The differential feed system is designed to ensure smooth, even stitching on all fabric types. The differential feed has two independent feed teeth, one front and one rear. Each row of feed teeth has an individual feed mechanism that enables the feeding of fabric at a different ratio. You can adjust it from .7 (negative) to 2 (positive). Positive feed accumulates fabric under the presser foot to offset the wavering on the fabric, removing distortion, while negative feed stretches the fabric under the presser foot to offset the puckering on the fabric.
