Sisters and brothers —
Two weeks go ago I was campaigning in California. Last week in Maine. Today, I’m off to Florida and then to Texas. Two weeks from now, I’ll be in the mid-west Midwest. And you know the reason why.
The stakes of this election are incredibly high. We’ve got to do everything we can to win.
Donald Trump is the most dangerous president in the history of the United States. He does not believe in the Constitution or the rule of law. He is a pathological liar, he is a narcissist, and he is running the most corrupt administration in American history. His policies are making the richest people in our country even richer while causing intense suffering for working families.
And if you believe that Donald Trump and his policies are a danger to the United States and the working families of our country, then we cannot allow the U.S. Senate to remain under Republican control and continue as a rubber stamp for Trump and all that he stands for.
That is just one of the reasons we must do all we can to elect Abdul El-Sayed to the United States Senate. It very well could be his race that determines control of the chamber.

In my view, Abdul is absolutely right on the most important issues facing our country.
As a doctor, he understands that our current health care system is broken, dysfunctional and wildly expensive. He believes that health care is a human right and will join me in fighting for Medicare for All.
Abdul knows that too many workers in Michigan and around the country are trying to survive on starvation wages. He will work to raise the minimum wage to a living wage and make it easier for workers to join unions.
At a time of massive income and wealth inequality, Abdul will fight to make sure that the billionaires in our country pay their fair share of taxes so that we can protect the needs of low income low-income and working families.
Abdul will also work in the Senate to put an end to illegal and unconstitutional “endless wars~~,~~” and stop funding the extremist and racist Netanyahu government in Israel.
Republicans know this as well, which is why they are spending obscene amounts of money in order to defeat him.
You cannot turn on the television or log onto the internet without seeing 4 or 5 ads attacking Abdul to every one ad from Abdul.
The campaign they are running against Abdul is one of the most racist and bigoted in modern American history.
They are calling Abdul a terrorist simply because he is a Muslim. They are attacking his family. And not just the Rogers campaign and their super PACs, but Donald Trump is doing the same as well.
Trump and the Republican Party are intellectually bankrupt. They have nothing relevant to say about the major crises we face — oligarchy, a corrupt campaign finance system, a dysfunctional health care system, climate change, AI, housing, inadequate wages, endless wars and so much more. Because they can’t campaign on the issues, their only hope is to resort to pure racism in an attempt to scare people into voting for a man, Mike Rogers, who will do the bidding of the billionaire class of this country.
That’s not acceptable. We cannot allow hatred and prejudice to prevail.
Sisters and brothers — this is the most important midterm election in modern American history.
Please do everything you can to see that Abdul El-Sayed becomes Michigan’s next U.S. Senator. He needs our help, and he needs it now.
